A Word from the Neighborhood Council Chariman
Special Reminder – Clean-up/Pick-up Day of Streets and Roadways (not anyone’s private property)
Saturday, May 3rd, starting at 9:00 am. PLEASE contact your Neighborhood Rep and get involved for an
hour. Let’s get SW lookin’ its best for the summer.
The Council is a group of 17 Volunteers organized to serve you and the whole community. Why not drop in
at our next meeting and hear what’s going on? Tuesday, May 20th, 4:00pm at the Admin Bldg. You’re invited!
Vacancies on the Council – we have three vacant seats to fill. They are Deer Run, Villas, and Vacation
Ownership. Come and sit in on a meeting or two...see what we’re about...maybe you’d like to be a Council
Rep. Call Susan Thames at the Admin Bldg for what each Neighborhood (of the 17) encompasses. Your
time? 11/2 hours a month.
Trash cans left out are unsightly. In the spirit of fair play with your neighbors, whether you’re a full-time or a
part-time resident, if you’re not going to be here on trash day or within 24 hours thereafter, please make
arrangements with a neighbor or other friend to pull your can in off the street. This request is as discussed at the
most recent meeting of the Neighborhood Council.
Thanks a lot, Larry D. Smith, Chairman. 256-825-2954.
