As you all know the majority of the funds for the operation of SWRA come from the maintenance fees
each property owners pays. In 2008, this amount was projected to be $669,620. The majority of this
money is collected in the first quarter of the year. As of March 25th, the shortfall is $32,063.
In an attempt to collect these past due funds, 89 accounts totaling $41,964.43 were placed with a
collection service this last week. Most of these accounts are only past due for the current year. We
also have placed 12 accounts totaling $16,405.87 with an attorney for small claims court. Most of
these accounts are two-three years in arrears and the collection service was not able to successfully
collect the past due accounts over a period of a year.

Please note all property sold in StillWaters has a transfer fee of $300, this should be paid at closing and sent to the SWRA office along with a copy of the warranty deed of the new owner. All property in StillWaters has a yearly maintenance fee which is determined by the covenant the property is under and is due in January each year and delinquent February 1. $50 will be added on past due accounts on Feb. 10th. Fees not paid by March 10th will be handled by a collection agency or legal action.
